Helen Johnson-Kolb
Helen is an undergraduate medical teaching fellow in DREEAM, joining the team in November 2022. She is involved with the orientation, bedside teaching, simulations and classroom teaching of medical students throughout their training.
Helen did her BSc in Adult Nursing at the University of Leeds. On qualifying in 2012, she started working in the Emergency Department at QMC, Nottingham. Since then, she has had a variety of job roles in ED and completed her Diploma in Tropical Nursing at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. In 2019, she started working as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, completing her MSc in 2020 at the University of Nottingham.
During both her BSc in Nursing and her time in ED, Helen has worked abroad in Uganda and Ethiopia, working in an HIV clinic and facilitating education around pain management amongst trauma patients.
When not at work, Helen spends her time hiking mountains with her dogs, running and being with friends and family.
