Kerry Laffan
Kerry is an interprofessional educator that designs, creates and delivers bespoke training and education for various different staffing groups within NUH, the surrounding Trusts and East Midlands Ambulance Service. She also delivers health and wellbeing workshops to local schools on subjects including substance misuse, sexual health and online safety. Kerry really enjoys the challenges of creating and implementing new, varied education within healthcare and strives to improve standards of delivery every day.
Kerry initially studied at the University of Leeds gaining a DipHE in Adult Nursing, then went on to achieve a BSc. (Hons) in Emergency Care from the University of Bristol. She has recently completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Nottingham and is hoping to complete the full Masters in Medical Education to continue enhancing her knowledge and skills as an educator.
Most of Kerry’s career experience has been in an emergency department setting and she has worked in numerous countries across the world including the USA and Australia and also has experience working within acute medicine.
Kerry lives in the countryside and enjoys everything outdoors, particularly spending time with her Dog Lottie, cat Ali Ali, doing woodwork projects and baking and decorating wedding and birthday cakes.
