Tanya qualified as a nurse in 2010 and is originally from Melbourne, Australia. Tanya has worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Emergency for the past eight years. During the pandemic, Tanya took on an Associate Nurse Unit Manager role for two years and managed to combine both an education portfolio and a day-to-day in-charge management role. Whilst completing a postgraduate degree in Clinical Education and Simulation in 2021.

Prior to starting in emergency, she worked in intensive care and in remote outback Australia with indigenous communities. Tanya is passionate about Human Factors, unique education delivery and in-situ simulation. Having developed four games which are now sold world-wide at realhumanfactors.com.

Tanya has spoken at both national and international conferences on education delivery and her Human Factor Games.

Outside of work, Tanya is acquainting herself with her new home in Sheffield and enjoys going for hikes through the Peak District.
