Asif Malik
Mr Malik is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust since 2010 having completed his training in adult and paediatric emergency medicine in 2009.
Between 2010 and 2014 Mr Malik was the Royal College of Emergency Medicine College tutor at the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham. After establishing a robust local educational blended teaching programme he moved on to becoming the Head of the East Midlands Postgraduate School of Emergency Medicine in 2014 to present day. Dr Malik has driven the regional educational programme, promoting training in all subspecialty fields allied to emergency medicine, has been a strong advocate for all the trainees and educators providing both professional and pastoral support.
Dr Malik was elected as the Royal College of Emergency Medicine regional chair for the East Midlands in 2021. In his role Dr Malik has championed the Royal College of Emergency Medicines values and aims across the East Midlands.
Dr Malik has been extremely encouraged by the trainees desire to promote the Neptune conference, a multidisciplinary event which will provide an insightful overview of current paediatric trauma prevention strategies, pre-hospital and acute management, and the future focus within the East Midland
