Course Overview
This course has been designed for emergency department physicians. It aims to build upon the airway skills acquired during ACCS through tailored educational videos, complemented by a day of practical exercises and simulations. Participants will learn advanced techniques for airway management in emergency scenarios. However, it's important to note that completing this course does not equate to competency or permit independent practice; rather, it aids in developing the skills and confidence necessary to contribute to a logbook of activities.
The course provides comprehensive training, guiding participants from the initial assessment of the patient, through the use of rapid sequence induction (RSI) for anaesthetising, to maintaining anaesthesia post-RSI, and managing emergencies in intubated patients.
Participants are responsible for their own ongoing training, assessment, skill maintenance, and audit, which are crucial throughout their professional careers.
