The Cannulation course is a full study day that has been devised to support the need of both primary and secondary care nurses to learn the vital skill of cannulation. Participants benefit from both theory and practical sessions through the day and are able to practice, in safety, on a simulation arm.
You’ll learn all the different cannulation types, best cannulation sites, the difference between an intravenous cannulation and an arterial cannula, and best practice when it comes to inserting a cannula.
Please note: this course will provide you with the theory behind the practice and will not involve any clinical assessment time.
